About This Spot

Kinley's Restaurant & Bar quietly invites you into a space where warmth and refinement live side by side. Nestled along Seward Highway in Anchorage, this spot strikes a balance that feels both polished and approachable—perfect for an evening that lingers a little longer over good conversation and thoughtfully crafted plates.

From the moment you step inside, there’s a relaxed attentiveness to the atmosphere. The air moves at an unhurried, calm pace, softly punctuated by the subtle hum of friendly voices and the clink of glasses. It’s the kind of place that understands how to blend dapper sophistication with genuine comfort, where you can settle in without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Though Kinley’s roots are in contemporary New American fare with a special nod to seafood, it’s never just about the food here. Each dish arrives as part of a carefully composed dining experience—whether it’s a delicate arrangement of halibut cheeks nestled over risotto, or a bite of perfectly pan-seared halibut that tastes effortlessly fresh. The menu invites exploration, supporting moments of indulgence such as biting into a crisp calamari steak or savoring the unexpected harmony of a lightly spiced cocktail shared among friends.

The wine bar component adds a secondary layer of enjoyment, beckoning both casual sippers and those with a keen palate alike. Attentive service enhances the experience, creating a sense of thoughtful hospitality that feels both professional and unpretentious.

Kinley’s quiet charm is reflected in how its guests find themselves returning—not just for a meal, but for the subtle human moments it fosters: a warm greeting from the bartenders, a server’s well-timed recommendation, or the small joy of discovering a dessert that closes the night on a soft, satisfying note.

Ultimately, Kinley’s offers a multifaceted experience that feels grounded in the rhythms of Anchorage—rooted in place and palate, yet open enough to surprise and delight those looking for a sincere and memorable night out.

Ho-ly. Let me tell you. This place is super dapper and professional, while not charging through the roof. These guys have it figured out how to be classy and subtle. Scott was our server and we both got elk special . Crazy good flavor combos. Tapas appetizers and chocolate cake to finish Scott had perfect recommendations and a absolutely chipper personality. Thank you for an awesome experience kinleys and Scott

This was the first time I have eaten at this Establishment. I've never been to what you would call Fancy restaurants before and this place by far blew my mind. The atmosphere is so warm everything I tried was absolutely Amazing I can't wait to go back. Updated review and I still Absolutely Love this place. Everything and I mean Everything I have tried is an absolute kiss to the Chef.

The drinks were good. The Arctic Sunset in the champagne flute were not too sweet and the Sweet and Heat was just the right blend of spiciness in a drink. The last drink with dessert was Tequila Mockingbird and it was slightly too much Tequila for me but may be right up the alley of someone else. The entrees were phenomenal. The short ribs with pappardelle flat noodles, crispy parsnips, bok choy, and creamy coconut sauce reminded me of Indonesian rendang. The duck breast with the verde sauce was definitely the best duck I've ever had. The chocolate truffle cake was a ganache, flourless cake. Great for chocolate lovers. The strawberry rhubarb cheesecake was great as a cheesecake but left room for more rhubarb. It felt about only 5% rhubarb. Hands down one of my top 5 best meals in Anchorage. Pricey but worth it once. Great meal for a snowy Spring afternoon.

I started with the fried brie, and it was fantastic. Took most home so I could eat my meal. 2nd, I had the beet salad, was unimpressed - the beets were to be roasted, they tasted canned; too much basil oil- would not get again. Lastly, I got the 1/2 order halibut cheeks over risotto. I highly recommend it! Full of flavor, took most of that home as well. If possible, the leftovers were even better the next day. My husband got the fish and chips, he said the halibut was great. Service was good. We called ahead for a table. They were busy.

We chose Kinley's for our weekly date night and thoroughly enjoyed it starting with perfectly executed martini's (bartender pictured!)! I had the raw oysters which were deliciously briny and Blake had the Oysters Rockafeller which were decadently perfect. We both had the house salad and mine was topped with the best pan seared piece of halibut I've ever eaten. Blake had the duck with risotto and a medley of veggies and rice. Highly recommend this restaurant for quality and good value.

I like how creative the menu is at kinley's. And the bartenders make good cocktails. The staff is great. I've always had excellent service when going to this restaurant. I've been there with friends, with kids but not very often with kids. I have also headed there for an early dinner before heading home after work. I enjoy the atmosphere. I love their calamari. The halibut cheeks and risotto were delicious!! I also enjoyed the duck! I've never had their burgers but my friend's son got it and he ate the whole burger!! He said it was great! We finished dinner with the pecan torte!! OMG! It was so good. I love how beautiful it was on the plate. Food presentation is excellent at kinley's. If you like that kind of thing. I do. I love how food is displayed. Also I like their French onion soup. I forgot to take a picture of the French onion soup and the calamari.

Highly recommend halibut (cheeks) if you’re wanting to try seafood but are apprehensive. The risotto was great. Atmosphere felt formal but comfortable. Well worth it. Tables were all booked but bar seating was walk in available.

The Calamari Steak was a true masterpiece—perfectly pan-seared and topped with a delightful tomato and herb Béarnaise sauce, which paired wonderfully with the garlic bread! The pan-seared Halibut cheeks, lightly dusted and served on a rich pancetta and pea risotto, were also extraordinary. Adding lemon brown butter, fragrant basil oil, and a zesty Balsamic reduction created an incredible flavor explosion with every bite! And let’s not forget the lemon cheesecake—it’s an absolute game-changer in desserts! What an incredible dining experience!
